Clean solar panels on a Phoenix-area roof

Areas We Serve

Solar panel cleaning and bird proofing across the greater Phoenix Valley — and a straight answer about what your panels are actually up against where you live.

Every city in the Valley soils panels a little differently. A home backing onto the McDowell Sonoran Preserve collects fine desert dust year round; one next to a Gilbert field gets a wave of soil at harvest; a Chandler new-build sits downwind of construction. Those differences change how often your array needs service — sometimes by a whole visit a year.

Below is what we see in each of our six core cities, and how we adjust for it. Every service uses the same eco-friendly deionized water, no pressure washing, and no drilling, so your panel warranty stays intact wherever you are.

Solar Panel Cleaning in Phoenix, AZ

Our largest service area, from Ahwatukee in the south to Deer Valley in the north.

What dirties panels in Phoenix

Phoenix sits in the middle of the Valley's dust bowl. Open desert, year-round construction, and long rain-free stretches from spring into early summer mean fine grit settles on panels and simply stays there. Monsoon season doesn't clean it off either — a haboob loads the glass with dust, and the rain that follows turns it into a film of dried mud that shades cells far worse than dry dust does.

How we handle it here

For most Phoenix homes we recommend cleaning twice a year: once in late spring before peak production season, and once in early autumn after the monsoon has finished depositing everything it's going to. Our deionized-water system rinses the panels without leaving the mineral spotting that hard Phoenix tap water is notorious for.

Solar Panel Cleaning in Scottsdale, AZ

From Old Town up through North Scottsdale and the communities along the McDowell Sonoran Preserve.

What dirties panels in Scottsdale

North Scottsdale backs directly onto open desert, so panels there collect fine, pale desert dust almost continuously and get very little natural rinsing. The city's tile roofs and steeper pitches also make access a genuine consideration — a lot of arrays here can't be reached safely without the right equipment.

How we handle it here

We work from the ground wherever the roof allows it, using water-fed poles rather than walking tile, which protects both the roof and the panel warranty. Scottsdale HOAs often care about how an array looks from the street, so we clean frames and rails as well as the glass.

Solar Panel Cleaning in Tempe, AZ

Compact, mature neighbourhoods around ASU, Papago Park, and the Tempe lakes.

What dirties panels in Tempe

Tempe's older housing stock comes with older, taller landscaping. That means less bare-desert dust than the outer suburbs, but a lot more organic debris: leaf litter, seed pods, and heavy spring pollen that cakes into a sticky layer once the first humid day hits. Mature trees also throw partial shade, which makes any additional soiling loss hurt more than it would on an unshaded roof.

How we handle it here

Tempe arrays usually need debris clearing as much as washing, including the gap under the panels where leaves and seed pods collect. We check for organic build-up along the lower edge of the array, which is where it traps moisture and starts to stain.

Solar Panel Cleaning in Mesa, AZ

The full East Valley spread, from central Mesa out to Eastmark and the Superstition corridor.

What dirties panels in Mesa

Mesa covers more ground than any other city we serve, and conditions genuinely differ across it. Central Mesa behaves like Tempe — older lots, more vegetation. East Mesa borders working farmland and open desert, so panels there pick up agricultural dust during tilling and harvest on top of the usual desert grit.

How we handle it here

We set cleaning frequency by where in Mesa you are rather than applying one schedule to the whole city. East Mesa properties near active fields typically need three visits a year; central Mesa homes are usually fine on two.

Including: Eastmark · Red Mountain Ranch · Dobson Ranch · Superstition Springs · Central Mesa

Solar Panel Cleaning in Chandler, AZ

Master-planned subdivisions across Ocotillo, Fulton Ranch, and the Price Corridor.

What dirties panels in Chandler

Chandler has one of the densest concentrations of residential solar in the Valley, largely on newer master-planned builds. Those neighbourhoods are still expanding, and nearby construction is the dominant soiling source — cement and caliche dust is heavier and stickier than ordinary desert dust, and it bonds to glass once it gets wet and dries again.

How we handle it here

Construction dust doesn't come off with a hose, so Chandler jobs get a soft-brush wash with deionized water rather than a rinse alone. Because much of the equipment here is recent, we stay strictly to non-invasive, manufacturer-approved methods that keep panel warranties intact.

Solar Panel Cleaning in Gilbert, AZ

Former farm country turned solar suburb — Agritopia, Seville, Power Ranch and south.

What dirties panels in Gilbert

Gilbert was farmland until recently and still has working fields along its southern edge. Tilling and harvest lift a lot of fine soil, and unlike desert dust it's organic enough to stain. Gilbert's housing stock is also among the newest in the Valley, which means most arrays here are still well inside their warranty period.

How we handle it here

We clean Gilbert arrays on the same warranty-safe, no-drill, no-pressure-washer basis we use everywhere, and we're happy to document the work so you have a service record if you ever need to make a claim. Homes backing onto active fields generally want a post-harvest visit added to the usual schedule.
